Elgin OGS and the new Anti Spam Law

Members and Non Members wishing to receive email notice of meetings, blog notifications, etc. will now have to give us their consent to receive our Elgin Branch’s email correspondence due to the anti spam law coming into effect 1 July 2014.
We are very grateful that you have allowed us to inform you through email about our branch’s various activities. As a non-profit organization this communication tool has been critical to helping us keep in touch with those that express interest in learning and sharing information on researching family tree histories.
On July 1, 2014, Canada's new Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) comes into force, and requires us to ask, for your permission to continue sending you our updates by email. Details can be found at the following sites:

An email was mailed to all known individuals interested in receiving our communication. If a response is not received by June 30th from interested parties we will have no choice but to remove their name from our list until we are advised by email that you agree to receive our updates.

If you are no longer receiving updates and wish to please email Elgin OGS.
