Generation 1:
Alexander
McDonald/MacDonald Sr., was born on the 8th of August 1844 in
Glengarry Ontario Canada and died on the 13th of April 1908 in
Eagle, Elgin County Ontario Canada. He married Catherine Carter who was born on
the 26th of March 1853 in Ontario. Catherine died the 2nd
of April 1930 in St Thomas.
In 1891 they resided in Lambton County East Ontario
In 1901 they resided in Bothwell Ontario.
Alexander and Catherine had the following known children:
1. Lewis Harvey McDonald who was born on the 25th
of June 1888 in Tupperville, Chatham Township, Kent County Ontario. He married
Jennie Isabell Meteer who was born the 13th of April 1889 in Elgin County.
2. Catherine McDonald born about 1871 in Ontario.
3.
Florence McDonald born in Ontario about 1874.
4.
John McDonald born in 1877 in Ontario.
Generation 2:
Lewis Harvey McDonald
who was born on the 25th of June 1888 in Tupperville, Chatham
Township, Kent County Ontario. He married Jennie Isabell Meteer who was born
the 13th of April 1889 in Elgin County.
Lewis Harvey and Jennie Isabell had the following Known
children:
1.
Alexander Lewis McDonald Jr, was born the 24th
of November 1909 in Saginaw Michigan USA and died on the 27th of
April 1993 in St Thomas. He married Julia Marguerite Giles the daughter of Robert
John Giles and Annabelle Emma Richmond in 1937. Various accounts report the
date as either February 2nd or September 9th. Julia was
born on the 14th of April 1907 in Ekfrid Middlesex County Ontario
and died in St Thomas on the 25th of May 1995. They had no children. Both are buried in St Thomas Ontario in Elmdale Memorial Park Cemetery near Julia's sister and husband, Charles and Pearl (Giles) Ryckman.
