The Elgin County Branch of the Ontario Genealogical Society, located at St. Thomas, Ontario, is a branch of a non-profit organization of people who share interest in genealogy and family history. The Branch was first organized in March 1982. There are about 250 members. Any person or institution interested in supporting the branch is welcome to apply for membership. burials without monuments
Recently added to the Elgin OGS website are hundreds of names taken from cemetery records for persons buried in the Old English Cemetery on Walnut Street, and the St. Thomas Cemetery on West Ave., who do not have markers in the cemeteries.

Hello: I have recently discovered that Henry Dorland married Louisa Boyd. They are listed in the census records 1862. Henry is staying near Elizabeth Boyd who is 53 years old. Near by are Silas Boyd and some other members of the boyd family. I think perhaps her parents quite possibly be John and Elizabeth but not sure. Are there any Boyds out there connected.
