News Items of Special Interest
Web-site has indexed many news items of local interest. Some examples - the Alma College newspaper, type in doughnut or just college to get all the indexed items; Waterworks Park, type waterworks; St Thomas Collegiate Institute, type collegiate or institute. Many schools from the county published a list of honor rolls, type the word honor in the search engine.

Nice to know that there are some references to things other than just names in the Elgin OGS newsindexes. I entered the word Waterworks into the Elgin OGS search box on the Elgin OGS home page and found out that photos of the St. Thomas Waterworks pool were taken in 1929 and 1932 as noted in the St. Thomas Times-Journal.
For a small fee a volunteer at the Elgin OGS will send you a copy of information that you are looking for in the indexed papers.
